Palacio Carlos V y Alhambra exteriores: historia y leyendas

Discover the history of the Alhambra entering the fortress through its forests to enjoy an unforgettable experience.

From the starting point that will be the source of Plaza Nueva we will go up the Gomerez slope until we reach the Puerta de Carlos V, where we will enter the forests of the Alhambra. Taking the road on the left we will ascend through the old known cobbled slope until we reach the Puerta de Justicia. On the way to this we will pass before the monolith of a vocational cross, the monument to Washington Irving and the Pillar of Carlos V. Throughout this journey we will tell in an entertaining way the whole history of the construction of the Alhambra and the reign of the Catholic Monarchs.

Once we have crossed the Puerta de la Justicia we will find ourselves inside the fortress, where from the Plaza de los Aljibes, we will see the Puerta del Vino, the Alcazaba and the Carlos V castle. In addition, we will be able to enjoy the spectacular views towards the Palacios Nazarís, the Generalife and the old quarters of the Albaicín and Sacromonte. From the Palace of Carlos V we will go up Calle Real to end the visit seeing the Church of Santa María de la Alhambra and the Monastery of San Nicolás.
